How we choose our picks
We are transparent that our recommendations are based on research and synthesis, not a paid test lab. For every guide we:
- Cross-reference full manufacturer specifications, load ranges, warranties, weights, materials, sizes and ratings, rather than repeating marketing copy.
- Aggregate verified long-term owner reviews from thousands of real buyers to surface durability, fitment and real-world quirks that spec sheets hide.
- Check real Jeep and 4×4 fitment data so a recommendation actually works on your rig, at your lift height, on your model year.
- Update for currency, when a product is superseded (like the BFGoodrich KO2 becoming the KO3), we revise the pick.
